Position Summary

Machine parts for all area of the shop

Tasks

  • Operate engine lathe
  • Set up and operate milling machine
  • Set up and run parts on assorted drill presses
  • Machine parts for fixtures
  • Assemble fixtures
  • Weld assemblies
  • Other tasks assigned by supervisor/lead

Skills

  • Able to read and follow blue prints
  • Able to read tape measure
  • Able to read dial calipers and micrometers
  • Reading Comprehension – Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  • Ability to be calm under pressure
  • Flexibility
  • Attention to detail

Galfab is located in Winamac Indiana, in a 100,000 square foot facility. We cut, bend and weld material to form large weldments using 7ga to ½” steel sheets and steel structural shapes and tubing. We assembly hoists on truck chassis.
